The Brock Marketing Association presents the Showcase Marketing Panel. This showcase panel allows students the opportunity to learn from experienced industry professionals, network and ask any questions they may have.

 

The event will consist of a 1 hour discussion, followed by a Q&A period and a networking session.

REBECCA DELUCA

Position: Manager, External Communications

Rebecca DeLuca is the Manager, External Communications at Interac Corp., Canada’s leading payments and digital information exchange. Here, Rebecca helps develop and execute strategies to amplify the thought leadership and share of voice at Interac while mitigating against any potential reputational brand risks. 

 

Prior to Interac, Rebecca was the Assistant Director of Communications for Development and Alumni Relations at Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts and the Marketing and Communications Specialist at the Boston University School of Social Work. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Relations from Boston University, a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Toronto and a Certificate in Digital Communications from Sheridan College.

Position: Coordinator, Brand and Marketing

Bawe is the Coordinator, Brand and Marketing. He serves as a community figure who will inspire, transform, and unify the community & our stakeholders in the time leading up to the Games. For the past 4 years Bawe has been working with B&M Agency, a sport-marketing agency where he held a co-founder role. He has also worked with Usports, Ontario University Athletic (OUA) and Canada Basketball during the U19 FIBA Americas Championship. Bawe has a Sport Management degree from Brock University, and has also spent time as an elite athlete playing soccer for Team Canada. Bawe has a passion for using sport as a way to bring people together, and he is excited to share this passion along with his marketing background with the community & Niagara 2021 Team.

MEGAN DEGELMAN-SMITH

Company Name: Tech Resources Ltd.

Position: Market Research Analyst

After graduating from the Goodman School of Business with her MBA in Marketing, Megan Degelman-Smith started her career in financial sales, working at CGI and Moneris. After several years she transitioned into marketing as a Marketing Consultant for DuPont Canada. In this role she developed marketing and sales strategies for multiple products in sectors including mining, construction, agriculture, and manufacturing. Through these projects Megan was able to discover her passion for mining.  Now as a Market Research Analyst for Teck Resources Ltd., Megan analyzes and forecasts the Zinc and Lead market to assist senior management, Investment Relations, Business Development, and the sales and marketing teams. Her analysis helps shape the company strategy and assists the sales teams in their annual contract negotiations. This includes working with the sales team to set the Zinc and Lead concentrate Treatment Charge Benchmark, which is the price used globally by all miners for their annual concentrate sales contracts.
